One third of the finds were ferrous. Few have any identifiable form. More work is planned to identify the composition but the methodology for such finds out of any context is not well defined.

The pattern of finds discussed There was the usual collection of coins, a few dating back to the era of the battle. The work was carried out by York Metal Detectorists Club
